Bhutan - also known as Druk Yul, or "The Land of the Thunder Dragon" is nestled in the heart of the great Himalaya. It is bordered by the Tibetan regions of China in the north and the sweltering plains of India in the south. Bhutan for centuries remained aloof from the rest of the world. Since its doors were cautiously opened in 1974, visitors have been mesmerized: the environment is pristine, and the scenery and architecture awesome.

Bhutan is a land of myths, tales and legends. In earlier days very little was know about this kingdom hence it often described as a 'living museum'.
